INTRINSIC VS EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION

INTRINSIC VS EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION.

When you are motivated, it means that there is a driving force or desire that's pushing you to do something and do it better.

There are basically two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. In intrinsic motivation, an internal desire or passion is driving you to do that thing i.e reading a book because you enjoy stories, volunteering in a children's home because you enjoy interacting with children.

Extrinsic motivation happens when the desire to do something is influenced by the reward anticipated i.e reading to pass a test, going to work everyday so as to receive a salary.

Whatever motivates you, whether intrinsic or extrinsic you can use it to push yourself to achieve your goals. The best thing is to carry out a self-check and understand yourself well.
